All our special advisors are volunteers aged 16 – 30. They support Young Voices Heard in a range of ways, from giving advice on its strategy to identifying campaign priorities. Young people participating in our work aims to ensure that we are inspired, forward-thinking, ambitious, and relevant.
The network is fluid and informal to ensure fresh thinking. They have been identified according to their experience of youth participation, their skills, and expertise, as well as their networks. Some have worked in this field before, others have been recommended and some have been invited to support specific projects. Together they make up the Youth Voices Heard ‘Advisory Network’, and a part of the broader #youthvocie movement, something not owned or directed by any one organisation.
