Have you Say Survey – on #YouthVoiceNews. As a regular reader/stakeholder I’d love to get your feedback on the first anniversary of this newsletter on LinkedIn – so that I can review its format, content, and frequency and to keep it as relevant and useful to you as possible. It should only take 4-5 minutes. Ive added a little background, aims and stats below 🙂

All the best,  James

I’ve been posting regular blogs and resources on Young Voices Heard since 2017, but only launched a weekly newsletter in January 2025. Its aim is to regularly share news (mostly national) and good practice, and to signpost opportunities and resources to new audiences.  The first 11 pilot editions were posted on the http://www.youngvoicesheard.org.uk website with 97 subscribers, getting 652 views.

The LinkedIn version was launched to a broader network in April 2025. Since then, the combined number of subscribers has risen to 782, getting over 54,000 impressions, and 13,000 plus views of the 57 editions. (weekly news + additional feature editions). I still post other blogs on specific topics (like the Youth Honours List twice a year) and continue to build the website’s “Resource” library – but now signpost new resources, articles, and opportunities from other peoples websites.

The readers are youthvoice champions of all ages, spanning not-for-profits, academics, the public sector, and young leaders. In recent months, I’ve used the feature editions to provide a profile & platform to some of them and have used the Recommended Reads to get everyone’s voices heard to a wider audience.

So, on this first anniversary, with the help of your feedback, I’d like to review next steps. Does it achieve its aim of posting news, sharing good practice, signposting opportunities and resources that help mobilise more young voices to be heard..? Is the content useful? What do you want to see more of / less of? More local? More national? More Case studies? More young writers? Is it too long, too frequent… etc.

yours

James  (Ed)
