NEWS

CASE STUDY – The European Youth Parliament (UK) is a 100% youth-led governed and volunteer run charity – no staff costs.  income is from individual and school membership with cost of events pay-as-you-go.  [Could this be an option worth exploring for a revived national youth council for the UK following the closure of the British Youth Council this time last year? Editor]

“It aims to provide non-formal education for young people on a wide range of political issues facing the UK and Europe”. Its programme of debates and events for those aged 11-25 across the UK are organised by young volunteers who are elected by its individual members to an Executive Committee for one year, led by a President. Charity Trustees are all aged 16-25. Individual young people join for £10.oo and Schools bring ‘delegations’ to debates. They run 20 events a year (across UK and as part of European Youth Parliament) Check it out.  Home | EYPUK

    Hi Anthony

See below a cool opportunity would it be possible to share it with everyone in the Friday email?

    Thanks

    Eden

I’m Eden im 21 and I\’m an #iWill Ambassador! I wanted to write to you to see if you could share the great opportunity to become an #iWill Ambassador with your young people.

The #iWill Movement wants to ensure every young person has access to social action and volunteering growing up and can create the change they want to see in their communities. You can find out more about #iWill here.

Applications to become an #iWill Ambassadors are currently open! Ambassadors are young people aged 10-25 who are passionate about making change and helping other people make change! #iWill Ambassadors get to lead the Movement, raise the profile of their own social action work, develop new skills and join a community of like-minded changemakers!

Applications are open until the 13th of April 2025 and I was wondering if you could tell the young people you work with about this opportunity? Here is the link to apply: https://www.iwill.org.uk/be-an-ambassador/

And here is the link to a communications pack with more information on the role and photos and text that can be shared. Link to the pack: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zohOEkT_q1JEwgS8YDJrSpuhUIiKAl3Q

As an Ambassador I\’ve really enjoyed being able to make a difference in my local area  and also nationally  and I would love for other young people to get a chance to do the same.

    Thank you!

    Eden
